Tips Essential Baby Clothes For New Parents - All About Baby

There are a million things to think about when you're welcoming a new baby into the family. From buying a crib and decorating a baby room to making sure the whole house is child friendly, you're sure to have plenty on your mind - and that's not even counting all of the time you're soon going to be spending catering to every whim of your new baby. Luckily, you normally have plenty of time to prepare for a new addition to the family, so you can be ready to concentrate on the most important thing when your baby is born - bonding with your child.

Make the most of the calm before the storm and spend the months before your baby is born stocking up on all of the necessities. One of the most practical but also most enjoyable things to start planning has to be your baby's wardrobe. Few can resist the allure of adorable baby outfits and you're sure to find that many people choose to give you items of clothing as gifts, especially if you have a baby shower. However, while the temptation to fill your drawers with novelty outfits and super cute clothes, it's important to make sure you have all the practical bases covered too.

Essential baby clothes include soft bodysuits and onesies, jumpers, socks and vests. It's a good idea to make sure you have several pairs of all of these essentials, and six or seven vests, as you will soon find that babies can be messy creatures. You'll also want to make sure you have a supply of bibs to keep your baby's clothes clean when feeding and don't forget to add pyjamas and a blanket or two to your shopping list.

You need to buy all of these cosy essentials no matter what time of year your baby will be born, as keeping your little one warm can be tricky whatever the weather. A pair of scratch mittens is another good buy, as many babies are born with surprisingly sharp nails and can accidentally hurt themselves by scratching when they are very young. A hat is also essential for your little one, either a broad brimmed hat for a summer baby or a soft and cosy one for winter ones.

Make sure you're prepared for everything parenthood can throw at you, stock up on baby clothes and equipment before the big day and you should be ready for anything.
